FAIRMONT -- On Friday, the 10 and 11-year-old Little League All-Star team from Fairmont will make a trip no other West Virginia team has ever made.

They're headed to Greenville, North Carolina for the first ever South East Regional Tournament.

Seven other teams are in the "Tournament of Champions". Wednesday the county commission gave the team $1,000 to help with expenses, and the coaches said it's great to have the city of Fairmont's support.

They said it's a great opportunity and they're anxious to see where they stack up.
